DGFT PUBLIC NOTICE NO-58/2004-2009  DATED 7.3.2005
Amendments in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1)

            In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 2.1, 2.4 and 2.29 of the Foreign Trade Policy 1st September, 2004 –31st March, 2009 and consequent to relaxation of conditions stipulated in Col. 5 against S.No. 39 & 40 of Chapter 5 in Table B of Schedule 2 of the Book Titled ‘ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1st September, 2004 – 31st March 2009 (as amended from time to time) vide Notification No. 28, dated 07.03.05, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby prescribes the following procedures to be followed for export of legally processed stock of Shavings of Shed Antlers of Chital and Sambhar and Manufactured Articles of Shavings of Shed Antlers of Chital and Sambhar : -  

(i)                              Prospective exporters shall submit their application as per Appendix 16 and Appendix 2 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I), 2004-2009 within thirty days (30 days) from the date of issue of this Public Notice to the DGFT (Headquarters Office), Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi

(ii)                            The application shall be accompanied by the following documents:- 

(a)                             A copy of the valid export order/irrevocable Letter of Credit from the foreign buyer; 

(b)                            Legal Procurement Certificate(s) in their name issued by the concerned Chief Wildlife Warden showing the quantity and unit price of legally acquired stock of   Manufactured Articles/Shavings of Shed Antlers; 

(c)                             Self attested copies of I.E. Code and RCMC. 

(iii)                           Each export consignment alongwith the related documents will be subject to pre-shipment inspection and verification by the Regional Dy. Director, Wildlife Preservation;

(iv)                          One time exemption will be applicable for a period of 6 months from the date of issue of Notification No. 28, dated 07.03.05 and the exporter shall surrender the unshipped quantity to  the Chief Wildlife Wardens of the respective State after expiry of this period.

(v)                            No export shall be allowed of the said items on expiry of the said period of six months.             

2.        Application received within the  stipulated  period  would be considered by the Export Facilitation Committee  on  merit  for   issue of Export Licences  for export of  said items  and shall   be subject to any other condition, so imposed.
