Policy Circular No. 15 /2004-2009   Dated: 17th January, 2005 

Sub:-   Withdrawal of Policy Circular No. 7 dated 4.11.04 related to Export Obligation Period against Import of Penicillin and its salts (ITC HS Code 29411010) or import of 6-APA (ITC HS Code No.29411050) under Advance Licences.
 

 

            Attention is invited to paragraph 4.22 and 4.22.1 of the Handbook of Procedure wherein the export obligation period and the permissible extension(s) of the export obligation period of the advance licence have been mentioned. Further, attention is invited to various conditions stipulated in the Policy Circular No. 1 and the Public Notice No. 6, both dated 17.09.04 and subsequent Policy Circular No. 7 dated 4.11.04.

 

The matter was examined again and accordingly it is decided to withdraw the Policy Circular No. 7 dated 4.11.04 with immediate effect.  It is also reiterated that any advance licence issued with three months export obligation period as per the policy Circular No. 7 dated 4.11.04 stands automatically extended to six months in accordance with the Public Notice No. 6 and the Policy Circular No. 1 both dated 17.09.04.  In case, the licensee wants a specific endorsement to this effect, the RLAs may endorse the aforesaid provision accordingly.

           

             This issues with the approval of Director General of Foreign Trade.
