Govt
reduces import tariff on all categories of edible oil by 10%
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the
Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that
it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following
further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the
Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 21/2002-Customs, Dated 1st
March, 2002 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide
Number GSR 118(E) dated the 1st March, 2002, namely:
In the said notification in the Table :
i) against S.No. 34 in column (3), against item (A), (B) and (C), for the
entries in column (4), the entry "70%" shall respectively be substituted; and
ii) against S.No. 434, for the entry in column (4), the entry "80%" shall be
substituted.
