Customs Notification No-70/2006 dated 4.7.2006
Indo-China border trade land route
notified (Nathula pass)
G.S.R. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being
satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the
following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the
Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 38/96-Customs, dated the 23rd
July, 1996, G.S.R. 290(E), dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely:-
In the said notification, against S.No.1, in column (2), in item(g), for the
words “Uttar Pradesh along the Gunji Pulan (Tibet) land route or through village
Namgaya Shipkila in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh along the
Namgaya-Shipkila-Shilpi Jui Jiuba land route”, the words “Uttaranchal along the
Gunji Pulan (Tibet) land route or through village Namgaya Shipkila in Kinnaur
district of Himachal Pradesh along the Namgaya-Shipkila-Shilpi Jui Jiuba land
route or through Sherathang land route between Sherathang in the East Sikkim
district of Sikkim in India and Renqinggang in the Tibet Autonomous Region of
China through Nathula Pass” shall be substituted.
