Continuation of anti-dumping duty on Zinc Oxide falling under heading 2817 or
subheading 381230
G.S.R. (E).- Whereas, the designated authority
vide notification No.15/4/2005-DGAD, published in Part I, Section I of the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 7th April,2006, has initiated sunset
review in the matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on Zinc Oxide falling
under heading 2817 or subheading 381230 of the First Schedule to the Customs
Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), originating in or exported from People’s Republic
of China, imposed vide notification No. 115/2001–Customs, dated the 2nd
November, 2001, [G.S.R.821(E), dated the 2nd November, 2001] and has recommended
for extension of anti-dumping duty, for further period of one year pending the
outcome of the review investigations;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), read
with sub-section (5) of section 9A of the said Customs Tariff Act and rule 23 of
the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping
Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the
Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of
the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.
115/2001–Customs, dated the 2nd November 2001,namely:-
In the said notification, after Paragraph 3, the following Paragraph shall be
inserted, namely; -
"4. The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be effective up
to and inclusive of the 8th day of April, 2007."
