CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION No.54/2005-CUSTOMS

Continuation of anti-dumping duty on Metronidazole
Whereas, the designated authority vide Notification
No.15/9/2003-DGAD, published in Part 1, Section 1 of the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, dated the 8th April, 2005, has initiated sunset review in the
matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on Metronidazole, falling under
sub-heading No. 2933 29 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975
(51 of 1975), originating in, or exported from, the People’s Republic of China,
imposed vide notification No.115/2000-Customs, dated the 31st August, 2000 [G.S.R.
698(E), dated the 31st August, 2000] and has requested for suitable extension of
anti-dumping duty, pending the results of the review investigations;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of
Section 9A, read with the second proviso to sub-sections (5) and (6) of that
section of the said Customs Tariff Act and rule 23 of the Customs Tariff
(Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped
Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central Government
hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of
India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification
No.115/2000-Customs, dated the 31st August, 2000, namely :-
In the said notification, after Paragraph 2, the following
Paragraph shall be inserted, namely :-
“3. The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be
effective upto and inclusive of the 15th day of April, 2006.”
