Customs Notification No-47/2005 (NT) dated 8.6.2005
Amendments in the CBEC notifies Chief Commissioners & Commissioners' Committees for review cases

G.S.R. (E). In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1B) of section 129A of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Board hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification No. 40/2005-Customs (N.T.) dated the 13th May, 2005 of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, namely: -

In the said Notification, in the Table, -

(i) For Sl. Nos. 1, 7 and 9 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: -

(iii) In column (2) of the Notification, where the word “Commissioners” appears, the same should be read as “Commissioner”.

Explanation: For the purpose of this notification the expression “Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals)” shall include “Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals) empowered to act as Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) within their respective jurisdiction vide notification No. 18/2002-Cus (NT) dated 07th March, 2002.
