NBR from Japan– Anti-dumping Duty Extended for Another 6 Months
G.S.R. (E).- WHEREAS the designated authority vide notification published in Part I, Section 1 of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 24th day of October, 2000, has initiated review in the matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on Acrlonitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), originating, or exported from, Japar imposed vide notification No. 68/99-Customs dated 26th May, 1999;
And whereas on the request of designated authority, the levy of anti-dumping duty was extended till 13th May, 2001;
And whereas the d esignated authority has requested for further extension of the anti-dumping duty by six months;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), (5) and (6) of Section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act,, 1975 (51 to 1975), read with rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determiniation of Injury) Rules 1995, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.68/99-Customs dated the 26th May, 1999, namely:-
In th said notification, in the second paragraph, for the words, figures and letters "the 13th day of May, 2001, the Words, figures and letters "13th day of November, 2001" shall be subsituted.
