CBEC appoints special officers as Central Excise Officers
 
G.S.R. (E). In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 2 of the Central Excise Act, 1944 read with sub-rule (1) rule 3 of the Central Excise Rules, 2002, the Central Board of Excise and Customs appoints the officers specified in column (2) of the table below as Central Excise Officers and invests them with all the powers of Central Excise Officers specified in column (3) of the said table to be exercised within such jurisdiction and for such purposes as specified in columns (4) and (5) of the said table respectively.

3. Joint Secretary(Protocol), Government of West Bengal Assistant or Deputy Commissioner of Central Excise West Bengal Receiving of the refund claims filed by diplomatic missions or consulates or diplomatic agents or career consular officers under section 11B of the Act.
4. Joint Secretary(Protocol), Government of Tamilnadu Assistant or Deputy Commissioner of Central Excise Tamilnadu Receiving of the refund claims filed by diplomatic missions or consulates or diplomatic agents or career consular officers under section 11B of the Act.
