Prohibition on export of Edible Oils – Relaxation - regarding.
S.O (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section
3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992)
and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009,
the Central Government hereby substitutes, with immediate effect, Para 1.1 of
Notification No.85 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 17.3.2008, inserted vide
Notification No.92 (RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 1.4.08 and Notification No. 3
(RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 11.4.2008, as under:-
2. “1.1 Restrictions imposed vide this Notification shall not apply to the
following:
(i) Export of Castor Oil,
(ii) Export of Coconut Oil through Kochi Port,
(iii) ‘Deemed export’ of edible oils to 100% export oriented units with the
condition that the final product be non-edible,
(iv) Export of Oils produced out of minor forest produce, as per table given
below, even if edible :

| 15159040 | Fixed vegetable oils viz. Neutralised and Bleached Mango kernel fat/oil/stearine/olein. |
| 15179010 | Sal Fat (Processed or Refined). |
| 15219020 | Shellac wax, whether or not coloured. |
(v) Export of edible oil from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) to Special Economic
Zone (SEZ) to be consumed by the SEZ units for manufacture of processed food
products.”
