Amends Schedule – I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and
Import Items, 2004-09
S.O. (E) - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade
(Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign
Trade Policy – 2004-09, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule – I
(Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as
under:
1. The following entries under Notification No. 94(RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 2nd
March, 2009 may be read as follows :
| “85256019 | ---- Other | Free | Radio communication equipment including VHF, UHF and microwave communication equipment not permitted to be imported except against a licence to be issued by the WPC wing of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. |
| 85256099 | ---- Other | Free | Not permitted to be imported except against a licence to be issued by the WPC wing of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.” |
2. This will be effective from 2nd March, 2009, as no change in Policy of any
item was intended vide Notification No. 94(RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 2nd March,
2009.
3. This issues in public interest.
