Export of
Pulses to Sri Lanka
S.O.(E) – In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign
Trade Policy, 2004-2009, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade
hereby prescribes the following procedures to be followed for export of Pulses
to Sri Lanka as notified by Notification No.37(RE-06)/2004-2009 dated 27.11.2006
:-
(i) Quantity allowed for export is restricted to 2000 MT of Masoor Dal and 200
MT of Green Gram; and
(ii) The export shall be permitted only from Pondicherry Port in India to Point
Pedro Port in Sri Lanka.
“The prohibition shall not be applicable to export of pulses to Sri Lanka
executed under the specific permission granted by DGFT.”
