Amendments in Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I)




            In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I).

2.         Appendix-1 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, the address of the Office of the Zonal Joint Director General, Central Licensing Area, (CLA), New Delhi is amended as follows:-

3.         The following agency is added in Appendix 6 of Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, at Sl. No. 38 under category ‘A’- List of IS/ISO 9000 (Series) Certification Agency and at Sl. No. 4 under Category ‘C’- in list of HACCP Certification Agency:-

4.               The Sub Para 3 of Paragraph 6 of Appendix 21-C of Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, regarding Procedure for refund of application fee (where payment has been received through  Eletronic Fund  Transfer ) is amended as follows: 

                  “3.   On receipt of application, the Drawing & Disbursing Officer (DDO) in the Regional Licensing Authority shall verify the receipt of fee w.r.t. a certificate issued by the designated authorized EFT Bank that the fee received has been remitted to the Central Bank of India, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi by quoting the cheque/draft details for crediting into the DGFT’s account supported with the copy of their MIS-1 duly attested and MIS-3 and MIS-4 (both being generated by the RLAs).  After being satisfied, the DDO would forward the refund application to their Regional Pay & Accounts Officer (RP&AO) for issuance of refund cheque.  The cheque prepared would then be forwarded to the RLA to deliver it to the concerned applicant.”
