DGFT NOTIFICATION NO. 50/2005 dated 09.03.2006
Amendments in the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 (Chapter 5)

S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act,1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 1st September, 2004 –31st March, 2009, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1st September, 2004 –31st March, 2009” as under:

(a) The condition stipulated in Column 5 against S. Nos. 39 & 40 of Chapter 5 to Schedule 2 of the “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1st September, 2004 –31st March, 2009” shall be relaxed for a period of two months from the date of Publication of this Notification to allow export of Shavings of Shed Antlers of Chital and Sambhar and Manufactured Articles of Shavings of Shed Antlers of Chital and Sambhar.

(b) Registered Exporters of shed antlers would be permitted to send Free Trade Samples of made up of shed antlers, each weighing not more than 5 Kg. to the foreign buyers, subject to the condition that sale of these samples would not be permitted and only one sample of each item for each destination would be permitted to each registered exporter who will provide details of the party abroad to the concerned Regional Deputy Director before shipment. This will be permitted for 45 days from the date of publication of this notification.
