PUBLIC NOTICE NO.  7 (RE-2002)/2002-2007

NEW DELHI,  THE  12th    April, 2002

 

         Attention is invited to the entry at Code No. 0703(a) in Table B of Schedule 2 in the book titled “ ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2002-2007” (incorporating amendments made upto 31st March,2002).

 

2.       In exercise of the powers conferred under Para 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007(incorporating amendments made upto 31st March,2002), the Director General of Foreign Trade has decided to release a quantity of 1.00 (one) Lakh M.T. of onions (all varieties other than Bangalore Rose onion and Krishnapuram onions) for export upto 31st July, 2002.

 

3.       The quantity of onion released as above shall be allocated to the following agencies/State Trading Enterprises for export either directly or through registered exporters  on the same terms and conditions as laid down in Notification No.16(RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated 17.5.2000 except condition relating to time prescribed for export for which the date indicated in Para-2 above  will apply.

 

           (i)      National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing          

                         Federation of India Ltd.(NAFED)                          35,000 MTs

 

(ii)      Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing

                      Board (MSAMB)                                                  35,000 MTs

(iii)          Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd.            10,000 MTs.

                         (GAIC)

 

(iv)           The Spices Trading Corporation Ltd.                6,000 MTs.

 (STCL)

  

(v)             AP-State Trading Corporation                          5,000 MTs.   

                

(vi)           The Karnataka State Co-operative                     2,000 MTs.

                        Marketing Federation Ltd.(KSCMF) 

 

 (vii)      The National Co-operative Consumers’          5,000 MTs.

  Federation of India Ltd.(NCCF),and

 

(vii)                The North Karnataka Onion Growers

                                Co-operative Society                                 2,000 MTs.
