Subject: Enhancement in the CIF value of the DFRC Licence

         With reference to your letter No.Plexh/Exim/2072 dated 17.01.2003 on the said subject, the matter was deliberated upon in this office. The suggestion for the enhancement in the value of the DFRC in tune with the international prices can be acceded to provided the minimum value addition is maintained. However, we cannot consider the reduction in the value addition of a DFRC to positive since the certificate is transferable unlike an Advance Licence.

        This issues with the approval of the Director General of Foreign Trade.
