Attention is
invited to the entry at Code No. 1001 of Schedule 2 Table B and S.No. 12 of
Appendix-1 to Schedule 2 in the book titled “ITC (HS) Classifications of
Export and Import Items 1997-2002” specifying the terms and conditions for
export of items indicated therein.

In exercise of the powers conferred under para 4.11 of the Export and
Import Policy, 1997-2002, the quantitative ceiling on export of (a) Wheat and
(b) Coarse grains during the licensing year 2000-2001 is further specified as
under:-
(i)
A further quantity of 20 lacs M.
Tonnes of wheat is permitted to be exported.
This ceiling is placed at the disposal of APEDA for the purpose of
issuing of RCACs to the following agencies:-
(a)
STC
(b)
MMTC and
(c)
PEC
The above agencies would obtain the RCACs from APEDA and export Wheat
obtained from the stock held by the Food Corporation of India for the Central
pool.
(ii)
In respect of coarse grains (grain and flour of Barley, Maize, Bazra,
Ragi and Jowar excluding Hybrid jowar grown as kharif crop), a further quantity
of 25,000 M. Tonnes is permitted to be exported.
This quantity is also placed at the disposal of APEDA for issuing RCACs
to the following as indicated against each:-
(a) NCCF
5000 M.Tonnes
(b) NAFED
5000 M. Tonnes
(c) STCL,
Bangalore 5000 M. Tonnes
(d)
For
allocation 10,000 M. Tonnes to
other exporters.
